Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. While in Charleston O'Dell's reporting about the relaxed approach police take to DUI cases resulted in a State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the State authorities issuing an even more strict directive on the cases. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. After her time living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative reporter. After that, she became a part of Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. She also works as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She has also hosted The Miss America Pageant as well as the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
